What is the best way to travel to Santa Barbara?

If you live locally, Santa Barbara is conveniently located approximately 2 hours north of Los Angeles by car.

If you live out of state, we recommend flying into Los Angeles and driving into Santa Barbara.

Will there be a reception following the ceremony?

Our reception will be held at the Kimpton Canary Hotel just 0.3 miles from The Sunken Gardena at the Santa Barbara Courthouse.

Is there a hotel block for guests?

Because our wedding is on a Sunday afternoon, we decided not to move forward with a room block. Instead, we will provide a list of accommodations in the area if you decide to make it a weekend trip or stay the night.

Can I bring a plus one?

We have a strict guest list and can only accommodate those listed on the invitation.

Are children allowed at the wedding?

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children on our wedding day.

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal, but make it comfortable! Our ceremony will be held outside and daytime temperatures are expected to be 70-75 degrees. Our reception will be located inside the Kimpton Canary Hotel in Downtown, Santa Barbara.

For the ladies in heels —upon entering the ceremony, The Sunken Gardens is an open field of grass. It's not impossible to walk in heels, but please proceed with caution.

What should I do if I have dietary restrictions?

We will be providing food options to choose from closer to our wedding date.

Is there an open bar?

Yes! You will have limited access to speciality beer, wine, and non-alcoholic options throughout the reception. Speciality drinks and cocktails are available at the cash bar.

What time should we arrive?

Our ceremony is scheduled to start at 4:30PM. Guests may arrive between 4:00-4:15PM.
